Myotherapy is a comprehensive treatment performed by our Myotherapist. Myotherapy encompasses the muscles, skeletal structure, nervous system and joints in a an evidence based assessment, treatment and rehabilitation procedure to effect your rehabilitation of muscular skeletal pain and associated conditions. Unlike your standard Remedial Massage, Myotherapists may incorporate massage into their treatments when warranted, however we call on a wide range of evidence based treatment approaches and skill sets which in addition to manual therapy, dry needling, electro-therapeutic techniques, shock wave therapy, also prescribe exercises to aid your recovery and rehabilitation.

Remedial Massage therapists treat muscles that are damaged, knotted, tense or immobile. Generally if you have a problem with a muscle, tendon or bone then we will aim to locate and repair damaged areas of the body and speed up recovery times. Remedial massage also uses knowledge based practices to identify radiated pain and referred pain to tackle the cause and the symptom. A Remedial Massage consists of a pre-assessment to determine the causes of the problem and effectively provide you a result at the end of the treatment.
